        CHAPTER 46

The arrangements were exemplary. The Deputy Mayor of Istanbul inaugurated the exhibition. There was a good turnout. Kamal was a talented and renowned artist. Ferit had taken great pain in distributing the invitation cards to most of the art lovers of Istanbul. After all Kamal was his guest, and Ferit was supposed to play host.

The exhibition was arranged in a beautifully decorated exhibition hall. There were 30 paintings of all sizes, being exhibited there, under good lighting. The visitors had filled the hall. Kamal was quite happy from the response that he had received. Dressed in his favorite brown suit, he was busy in receiving the guests. After the opening ceremony was over, he led the guests into the exhibition hall and explained his paintings one by one.
